I am a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and a Research Affiliate at the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF). I received a MSc in Economics from Collegio Carlo Alberto in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute in 2005. In 2006 I was Visiting Lecturer at Boston University, from 2007 to 2009 I was Post-Doc Research Fellow at CEMFI, from 2012 to 2013 Visiting Lecturer at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and in 2014 I was Fernand Braudel Fellow at the European University Institute. From 2016 to 2018 I served as a member of the Policy Unit of the Italian Prime Minister.
I joined IZA as a Research Fellow in November 2007.
