Janneke Pieters is Associate Professor at Wageningen University. She completed her PhD at the University of Groningen in 2011 and was visiting researcher at the University of Goettingen in 2009.
Her main research interests are employment and inequality in developing countries, and the drivers and consequences of women's economic empowerment.
Janneke became Research Associate at IZA in September 2011, and Deputy Program Director for the special Program"Growth and Labour Markets in Low Income Countries"until she moved to Wageningen University in 2014.
