David Wiczer is an Associate Advisor and Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and an Associate Editor at the European Economic Review. Previously he was an Associate Professor at Stony Brook University, an Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis and had temporary positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and National Bureau of Economic Research. Wiczer's research interests are at the intersection of labor and macroeconomics, studying job search, occupational choice and social welfare programs like disability insurance. He holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor's from Carleton College, all in Economics. David Wiczer became an IZA Research Fellow in May 2023.
