Tim Kaiser is a Professor of Economics and Economic Education at the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), Research Affiliate at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, Associate Editor of theJournal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, and a member of the Financial Literacy and Personal Finance Research Network (G53 Network). He received his doctoral degree in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Kiel and was a research associate at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin).
His research interests are in the area of applied microeconomics, especially economics of education, development economics, behavioral economicss, and household finance. His work has appeared in leading field journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and the Journal of Development Economics.
Tim Kaiser joined IZA as an Research Affiliate in April 2023.
